Have you noticed how we get an idea and it is a good idea but we let it sit and fester in our minds for hours, days, months, or even years? We are putting aside what we want to do because we are unsure of the outcome. We worry so much about how things will look or seem to others that we usually stop ourselves from actually starting at all. We plan and over think every little detail. I’ll be the first to admit that I have definitely been guilty of this myself!
I have great ideas and I stop myself from either starting or completing them. I often start a project and then find every excuse in the book to move onto another one before completing the first. Why is this? Why are most people guilty of this? I believe we always want to do our best but does that have to mean perfection? When it comes to anything that can be seen, read, or tasted by other people we worry about being judged? Are we afraid of failure? Are we afraid of success? Do we wonder what people will think about us? This striving for exterior approval often stops us from achieving our dream. What if we changed our mindset? What if we simply said to ourselves, “Better to get it done now than to wait until it is perfect and risk never doing it.” This is the mindset I am taking from now on with my own projects and dreams.
I want to share my life experiences and lessons learned, in order to help others. I never will reach people if I wait for perfection. I am human and I am 100% me, imperfections and all. This is why 2 years after setting up my blog I am finally sharing my words with you. Some might criticize and others might find it inspiring. If only one person gets something from my sharing then it was worth pressing post. This brings to mind a baby bird attempting to fly. The first time it might be a very sloppy take off and a short flight but with each try it will get better and better. All I strive for is to consistently be and do my best. With practice I will improve, just like everything else I have learned to do in life. Only you can make things happen for you. This being said, next time you are wondering if you should do something…just jump.
There is freedom waiting for you on the breezes of the sky
and you ask,”What if I fall?”
Oh my darling, What if you fly?

Beautiful post Lou. So true. The timing of those first steps or hops are different for many of us. Important that we do take them. Looking forward to your next post.
Just jump! Yeah Lou, I like it!!

Great stuff in your post Lou-Anne !
We should never worry about failures but rather about the chances we miss when we don’t even try . Somehow mistakes have the “power” to turn you into something better than you were before.
I agree ….It’s not about perfection….but just about daily effort that brings transformation and change.
Oh yes, it’s all about stepping out of your box since great things never really come from comfort zones.
Love your catchy words ” You just have to jump ” …..Yep ! JUST GO FOR IT !
Sometimes thinking too much can destroy your momentum .
Thanks for sharing ~~ really great food for thought ~~ !
